These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of Buzzle, a personal finance tracking, journaling, reflection, and insight application developed and operated by Lu’lu’a Digital (“Lu’lu’a Digital,” “Buzzle,” “we,” “our,” or “us”).
By creating an account, accessing, or using Buzzle, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, you must not use Buzzle.
1. Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old, or the minimum age of digital consent in your jurisdiction, whichever is higher, to use Buzzle.
If you are under the age of majority in your jurisdiction, you may only use Buzzle with the consent and supervision of a parent or legal guardian. By using Buzzle, you represent and warrant that you meet these eligibility requirements.
2. Description of Buzzle
Buzzle is a personal finance diary and reflection app designed to help users record expenses, income, bills, savings, budgets, notes, receipts, and related financial information.
Buzzle may provide summaries, reminders, AI-generated reflections, spending insights, habit observations, suggestions, and other informational features based on the information you choose to provide.
Buzzle is intended for personal tracking, educational, and informational purposes only.
3. No Financial, Legal, Tax, Accounting, Credit, or Professional Advice
Buzzle does not provide financial advice, investment advice, tax advice, accounting advice, legal advice, credit counselling, debt counselling, or any other professional advice.
Any summaries, suggestions, reminders, projections, classifications, spending observations, budget comments, or AI-generated responses provided by Buzzle are for general informational and educational purposes only.
You are solely responsible for your financial decisions, spending decisions, savings decisions, debt decisions, tax decisions, and any other actions you take based on information shown in Buzzle.
You should consult a qualified professional before making decisions that may materially affect your finances, taxes, debts, legal rights, or personal circumstances.
4. Account Registration and Security
To use certain features of Buzzle, you may need to create an account.
You agree to provide accurate, complete, and current information when creating and maintaining your account.
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account.
You agree to notify us promptly if you believe your account has been accessed without authorization.
We are not responsible for losses arising from unauthorized account access caused by your failure to protect your login credentials.
5. User Content
For purposes of these Terms, “User Content” means any information, data, text, images, receipts, notes, messages, financial entries, expense entries, income entries, savings entries, bill entries, budget information, categories, preferences, onboarding answers, reflection messages, feedback, uploaded files, or other content that you submit, upload, enter, store, generate, or transmit through Buzzle.
You retain ownership of your User Content.
However, by using Buzzle, you grant Lu’lu’a Digital a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, transferable, sublicensable license to host, store, process, reproduce, display, modify, analyze, transmit, and use your User Content solely for the purposes of:
1. operating and providing Buzzle
2. maintaining and securing Buzzle
3. personalizing your experience
4. generating summaries, reflections, suggestions, insights, and app features
5. improving Buzzle’s functionality, accuracy, reliability, and user experience
6. developing new features, models, analytics, benchmarks, and services
7. complying with legal obligations
8. enforcing these Terms
9. preventing fraud, abuse, security incidents, or unlawful activity
This license continues for as long as necessary to provide Buzzle and fulfill the purposes described in these Terms and our Privacy Policy.
6. Aggregated, Anonymised, and De-Identified Data
You acknowledge and agree that Lu’lu’a Digital may create, derive, generate, use, store, analyze, disclose, license, commercialize, or otherwise process aggregated, anonymised, or de-identified information from User Content, usage data, financial behaviour patterns, app interactions, receipt data, onboarding answers, and other data processed through Buzzle.
Aggregated, anonymised, or de-identified information is information that does not reasonably identify you as an individual.
Such information may be used for purposes including:
1. product improvement
2. research and development
3. behavioural insights
4. spending trend analysis
5. benchmarking
6. market research
7. statistical reporting
8. commercial insights
9. third-party reports, partnerships, or business use
10. development of new products, services, models, or features
You agree that aggregated, anonymised, or de-identified information may be retained and used by Lu’lu’a Digital even after you stop using Buzzle or delete your account, provided that such information no longer reasonably identifies you.
Nothing in these Terms gives Lu’lu’a Digital ownership of your personal User Content. However, Lu’lu’a Digital may use aggregated, anonymised, or de-identified outputs derived from the operation of Buzzle as described above.
7. AI Features and Automated Outputs
Buzzle may use artificial intelligence, machine learning, rules-based systems, optical character recognition, natural language processing, or similar technologies to provide features such as:
1. receipt scanning
2. expense categorization
3. AI summaries
4. spending insights
5. financial reflections
6. habit observations
7. personalized suggestions
8. budget comments
9. reminders
10. conversational responses
AI-generated content may be inaccurate, incomplete, outdated, misleading, or unsuitable for your personal circumstances.
You are responsible for reviewing AI-generated outputs before relying on them. You agree that Buzzle’s AI outputs are not professional advice and must not be treated as a substitute for independent judgment or qualified professional advice.
Lu’lu’a Digital does not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, reliability, or usefulness of AI-generated content.
8. Receipt Scanning and Data Extraction
If you use receipt scanning or upload receipt images, Buzzle may process receipt images and extracted text to identify information such as merchant name, date, time, items, quantities, totals, taxes, currency, payment method, categories, and related transaction details.
Receipt scanning and extraction may be inaccurate, incomplete, or misread information.
You are responsible for reviewing and correcting any receipt data before relying on it.
Lu’lu’a Digital is not responsible for losses, incorrect records, budgeting errors, tax errors, reimbursement issues, or financial decisions arising from inaccurate receipt scans or extracted data.
9. User Responsibilities
You agree that you are responsible for:
1. the accuracy of information you enter into Buzzle
2. reviewing and correcting entries, summaries, receipt scans, and AI-generated outputs
3. keeping your account secure
4. using Buzzle only for lawful purposes
5. ensuring you have permission to upload any content or information that relates to another person
6. making your own financial decisions
7. maintaining your own backup records where necessary
8. complying with applicable laws
You must not use Buzzle to store, upload, generate, or transmit unlawful, harmful, fraudulent, abusive, defamatory, invasive, infringing, or malicious content.
10. Prohibited Uses
You agree not to:
1. use Buzzle for unlawful, fraudulent, harmful, or abusive purposes
2. attempt to gain unauthorized access to Buzzle, user accounts, systems, or data
3. interfere with or disrupt the operation, security, or integrity of Buzzle
4. reverse engineer, decompile, scrape, copy, or extract Buzzle’s software, data, models, or systems except where permitted by law
5. upload malware, harmful code, or malicious files
6. impersonate another person or misrepresent your identity
7. use Buzzle to provide regulated financial, legal, tax, accounting, investment, credit, or debt advice to others unless separately authorized by law
8. abuse, manipulate, or exploit AI features
9. attempt to bypass subscription limits, usage limits, or security controls
10. use Buzzle in a way that violates the rights of others
11. Open Beta Disclaimer
Buzzle may be made available as an open beta, early access release, test release, or evolving service.
You acknowledge that beta features may be incomplete, unstable, unavailable, limited, inaccurate, or subject to change.
We may add, modify, suspend, remove, limit, or discontinue any feature at any time. We do not guarantee that any beta feature will become permanent or remain available.
12. Subscriptions, Payments, and Billing
Certain features of Buzzle may require a paid subscription.
Subscription details, pricing, trial periods, renewal dates, cancellation terms, and payment methods will be shown before purchase or as required by the applicable payment platform.
Unless otherwise stated, paid subscriptions automatically renew until cancelled.
You are responsible for cancelling your subscription before the renewal date if you do not wish to continue.
Cancellation will usually take effect at the end of the current billing period unless otherwise stated by the relevant platform or payment provider.
Payments may be processed by third-party payment providers such as Paddle, Stripe, Apple, Google, or other payment platforms. We do not store full credit card numbers or complete payment credentials.
We may receive limited billing information such as payment status, subscription status, plan type, renewal date, transaction identifiers, customer identifiers, and billing email where necessary to manage your subscription.
Refunds, chargebacks, taxes, and payment disputes may be subject to the terms of the relevant payment provider or app store.
We may change pricing, plans, features, or subscription terms from time to time. Where required, we will provide notice of material changes.
13. Free Trials and Promotions
Buzzle may offer free trials, promotional access, discounted subscriptions, or limited-time offers.
We may modify, withdraw, or limit promotional offers at any time.
If a free trial converts to a paid subscription, you may be charged automatically unless you cancel before the trial ends, subject to the terms shown at the time of signup.
14. Third-Party Services
Buzzle may rely on third-party services for hosting, storage, authentication, analytics, crash reporting, AI processing, OCR processing, payments, email, customer support, security, and other functions.
Your use of Buzzle may involve processing by such third-party service providers. We are not responsible for third-party services except to the extent required by applicable law.
Certain third-party services may have their own terms and policies.
15. Privacy
Our collection, use, disclosure, storage, transfer, and protection of personal data is described in our Privacy Policy.
By using Buzzle, you acknowledge that you have read and understood our Privacy Policy.
16. Intellectual Property
Buzzle, including its software, design, interface, graphics, characters, mascots, icons, branding, name, logo, features, text, workflows, animations, and other materials, is owned by or licensed to Lu’lu’a Digital.
Except for the limited right to use Buzzle in accordance with these Terms, no rights are granted to you in Buzzle’s intellectual property.
You may not copy, reproduce, modify, distribute, sell, license, create derivative works from, or exploit any part of Buzzle unless expressly permitted by us in writing.
17. Feedback
If you provide feedback, suggestions, ideas, bug reports, feature requests, or other comments about Buzzle, you grant Lu’lu’a Digital a worldwide, perpetual, irrevocable, royalty-free, transferable, sublicensable license to use, copy, modify, publish, commercialize, and incorporate that feedback into Buzzle or other products without compensation to you.
18. Service Availability and Data Loss
We aim to provide a reliable service, but we do not guarantee that Buzzle will be uninterrupted, secure, error-free, or available at all times. Buzzle may be affected by maintenance, outages, internet issues, cloud provider issues, third-party service issues, device issues, or events beyond our control.
We are not responsible for loss of data, inaccurate data, service interruptions, or inability to access Buzzle, except where liability cannot be excluded under applicable law.
You should keep your own backup records where necessary.
19. Suspension and Termination
We may suspend, restrict, or terminate your access to Buzzle if:
1. you breach these Terms
2. you use Buzzle unlawfully, fraudulently, or abusively
3. your use creates security, legal, operational, or reputational risk
4. payment fails for paid features
5. we are required to do so by law
6. we discontinue Buzzle or relevant features
You may stop using Buzzle at any time and may request account deletion as described in our Privacy Policy.
Termination does not affect rights, obligations, disclaimers, limitations, licenses, or provisions that by their nature should survive termination.
20. Disclaimers
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Buzzle is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis.
Lu’lu’a Digital disclaims all warranties, representations, and conditions, whether express, implied, statutory, or otherwise, including warranties of accuracy, reliability, merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, availability, security, or error-free operation.
We do not warrant that:
1. Buzzle will meet your needs
2. Buzzle will be uninterrupted, accurate, secure, or error-free
3. AI-generated content will be correct or suitable
4. receipt scanning will be accurate
5. financial summaries will be complete
6. reminders will be delivered on time
7. your financial goals will be achieved
21. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Lu’lu’a Digital, its owners, directors, officers, employees, contractors, affiliates, partners, service providers, and licensors shall not be liable for:
1. financial losses
2. missed payments
3. overspending
4. budgeting decisions
5. savings outcomes
6. debt outcomes
7. tax consequences
8. inaccurate entries
9. incorrect receipt scans
10. AI-generated errors
11. lost data
12. unauthorized access
13. service interruptions
14. indirect, incidental, consequential, special, exemplary, or punitive damages
15. loss of profits, revenue, goodwill, data, opportunities, or business
To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim arising out of or relating to Buzzle or these Terms shall not exceed the amount you paid to Lu’lu’a Digital for Buzzle in the three months before the event giving rise to the claim, or BND 50, whichever is greater.
Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.
22. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Lu’lu’a Digital, its owners, directors, officers, employees, contractors, affiliates, partners, service providers, and licensors from and against any claims, losses, liabilities, damages, costs, and expenses, including reasonable legal fees, arising out of or relating to:
1. your use of Buzzle
2. your User Content
3. your breach of these Terms
4. your violation of law
5. your violation of another person’s rights
6. your financial decisions or actions based on Buzzle
23. Changes to Buzzle
We may change, update, suspend, discontinue, restrict, or remove any part of Buzzle at any time, including features, pricing, plans, usage limits, AI tools, receipt scanning, integrations, designs, categories, analytics, or availability.
We are not liable for any modification, suspension, or discontinuation of Buzzle or any feature.
24. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time.
If changes are material, we will take reasonable steps to notify you, such as by posting the updated Terms in the app or sending a notice.
Your continued use of Buzzle after updated Terms take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
If you do not agree to the updated Terms, you must stop using Buzzle.
25. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Brunei Darussalam, without regard to conflict of law principles.
You agree that the courts of Brunei Darussalam shall have jurisdiction over disputes arising out of or relating to these Terms or Buzzle, except where applicable law requires otherwise.
26. Severability
If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid, unlawful, or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will remain in full force and effect.
27. Entire Agreement
These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy and any additional terms presented in Buzzle, constitute the entire agreement between you and Lu’lu’a Digital regarding Buzzle.
